OurMeds holds health information about people who often can't consent for themselves — usually children. This page says exactly what is collected, why it has to be, and how to have it removed.

OurMeds is operated by PRJ Software Solutions LLC, a limited liability company registered in Pennsylvania, United States, which is responsible for the information described here. “We” means PRJ Software Solutions LLC throughout.
The short version. Your data is used to run the app and nothing else. There is no advertising, no analytics or tracking, no profiling, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone outside the household you share it with yourself.
Your account. The email address you sign up with, a password (stored by Amazon Cognito as a hash — we never see it), and a display name if you set one. Your display name is shown to the other people in your household, because a dose record that doesn't say who gave it is not much use.
The people you track. Their name, optionally a date of birth, and an avatar colour. A date of birth is optional and the app works without one.
Medications and doses. Medication names, amounts, schedules and any standing instructions you add; and for each dose, the time it was given, the amount, any note you write, and which account recorded or later edited it.
Sharing. Who you have given access to, at what level, and — while an invitation is outstanding — the email address you invited. A record of changes to a patient (doses, medications, and who has access) is kept so that the people sharing a record can see who changed what.
If you subscribe. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple Account. What Apple sends us is a signed record that a subscription exists and when it runs out, which we store against your household so the app knows whether it is paid for.
There is no location data, no contacts access, no advertising identifier, and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.
On Amazon Web Services, in the US East (Ohio) region, using Amazon DynamoDB for the records and Amazon Cognito for accounts. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. A copy is also kept on your own device so the app works without a signal.
Amazon Simple Email Service is used to send one kind of message: an invitation, when you share a patient with somebody. It receives that person's email address in order to deliver it. No marketing email is sent.
OurMeds is for adults caring for someone else. Accounts are held by carers, not by the people being cared for, and a child never signs in. The health information about them is entered by the adult responsible for them and shared only with people that adult chooses.
Only the people you share with, and only the specific people you share. Access is granted per patient, so sharing one child's record does not share another's. Access can be withdrawn at any time and takes effect immediately.
We do not access your records except where you ask us to in order to resolve a support problem, or where we are legally required to.
Records are kept until you delete them. Deleting a patient removes their medications and their dose history. Deleting your account removes your account and everything in the households you own; records in households owned by somebody else remain theirs.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the change will be noted here with a new date, and in the app before it takes effect.
